1) What is the name of the world’s longest highway tunnel in the world that was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Himachal Pradesh on 3 October 2020? – Atal Tunnel (Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 3 October 2020 inaugurated the Atal Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh, which connected Solang Valley near Manali to Sissu in Lahaul and Spiti district. The 9.02-km tunnel located at Rohtang Pass is the longest highway tunnel in the world above the height of 3,000 metres. It will shorten the distance between Solang Valley and Sissu by around 46 km and reduced travel time to Leh (in the Union Territory of Ladakh) by up to five hours. The decision to construct a strategic tunnel below the Rohtang Pass in Himachal was taken on June 3, 2000, when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was Prime Minister)
