This Supreme Court (SC) judgement, delivered by a three-judge bench headed by Justice Rohinton F. Nariman, thus cleared the way for tycoon Lakshmi Mittal to enter India - the world’s second-biggest market for steel. 7) Noted Indian mathematician and academic Vashishtha Narayan Singh passed away on 14 November 2019 at the age of 73. A child prodigy once, he completed his Ph.D. from which American university? – University of California (Vashishtha Narayan Singh completed his PhD in Cycle Vector Space Theory from University of California, Berkley in 1969 at the age of just 23 years. He returned to India in 1974 and was associated with many prestigious institutes like IIT Kanpur, TIFR Mumbai and Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. But he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and much of his life was affected with mental illness and imbalanced life. He passed away in Patna on 14 November 2019)
