1) The 3rd Summit for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement was held from 31 October to 4 November 2019 at which place where India opted out of the agreement due to its apprehensions not being addressed? – Bangkok (The 3rd RCEP Summit was held in Bangkok with the objective of signing the mega trade deal between 10 ASEAN countries - (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and 6 FTA partners - (China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand). But on 4 November 2019 India decided to opt out of the agreement. India felt that it did not receive any credible assurance on market access and non-tariff barriers. 6) Which Chinese group acquired the brand name of collapsed travel group Thomas Cook for $14.3 million? - Fosun (Chinese business group Fosun on 1 November 2019 announced that it is acquiring the Thomas Cook brand name - the oldest name in world tourism for $14.3 million. The deal, which also includes hotel brands Casa Cook and Cook’s Club, gives Fosun access to Thomas Cook trademarks, websites, social media accounts and software across most of the world. It is worth mentioning that Fosun was Thomas Cook's largest shareholder and a key part of a failed rescue deal)
