Explanation: 18-year old Deepak Lather created history for India as he won a bronze medal in the men's 69kg weightlifting category at the ongoing 21 Commonwealth Games on 6 April 2018. With this medal win he became the youngest athlete to win a CWG medal for India.

- Lather lifted a total of 295 kg (136kg (snatch) + 159 kg (clean and jerk)) to finish in the third position. He had held a national record at the age of 15.

4) What is the name of South Korea’s disgraced former president who was jailed for 24 years on 6 April 2018 for corruption? – Park Geun-hye

Explanation: On 6 April 2018 Park Geun-hye became the third former South Korean leader to be convicted on criminal charges as she was jailed for 24 years for corruption. A trial which lasted more than 10 months ended with Park being found guilty on multiple criminal charges, including bribery and abuse of power.

- 66-year old former President was convicted of receiving or demanding more than $20 million from conglomerates, sharing secret state documents with her long-time friend and secret confidante Choi Soon-sil.

- Park, who was the first woman President of South Korea, thus joined Chun Doo-whan and Roh Tae-woo, who were both found guilty of treason and corruption in the 1990s.
